This Privacy Policy applies to both auto repair shop partners and their customers who use Trackara-powered mobile applications.

2.1 Information from Shop Partners

  • Account Information: When you register as a shop partner, we collect your shop name, your name, email address, phone number, business address, and login credentials.
  • Business Information: We collect information about your business operations, including service offerings, pricing, hours of operation, and staff details.
  • Payment Information: For our commission-based pricing model, we collect payment method details, transaction history, and revenue information related to bookings made through your custom app.
  • Shop Management System Data: When you connect Trackara with your shop management system (like Mitchell1, Shop-Ware, Tekmetric, etc.), we access relevant customer, vehicle, and service data with your permission to provide our services.
  • Branding Assets: We collect your shop's logo, colors, and other branding elements to customize your mobile application.

2.2 Information from End Users (Shop Customers)

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and other contact details when they register in the mobile app.
  • Vehicle Information: Details about their vehicles, including make, model, year, VIN, mileage, and service history.
  • Appointment Information: When and what services they book, service preferences, and notes related to appointments.
  • Usage Data: Information about how they interact with the mobile app, including features used, time spent, and actions taken.
  • Device Information: We collect device information such as IP address, device type, operating system, and mobile device identifiers.
  • Location Data: With explicit consent, we may collect precise location data to provide location-based services such as finding nearby partner shops.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate our Service. This information may include:

  • Device and connection information such as browser type, operating system, hardware version, and device settings
  • IP address and location information derived from IP address
  • Pages that you visit and features you use, search terms, referral pages, and clickstream data
  • Information collected through cookies, pixel tags, and other tracking technologies (see Section 9)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Creating and managing custom-branded mobile applications for shop partners

We only use your information for the purposes outlined above or for other purposes to which you've consented. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that would produce significant legal effects concerning you.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Between Shop Partners and Their Customers

Our primary function is to facilitate communication and appointment booking between repair shops and their customers. We share relevant information between these parties to enable this functionality. This includes sharing customer and vehicle information with shops and sharing appointment details, service updates, and shop information with customers.

4.2 Service Providers

We may share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as:

  • Cloud hosting and data storage providers
  • Payment processors
  • Analytics providers
  • Customer support platforms
  • Email and communication service providers
  • App store providers (Apple App Store and Google Play Store)

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as directed by us and for the purpose of providing their services to us.

4.3 Shop Management System Integrations

With a shop partner's authorization, we share information with their selected shop management system to synchronize appointments, customer data, and service history. The specific data shared depends on the integration capabilities of each system.

4.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency). We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations

4.5 Business Transfers

For end users, we retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.

  • The potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure

Trackara integrates with various shop management systems including Mitchell1, Shop-Ware, Tekmetric, AutoVitals, Shopmonkey, and others. When you enable these integrations, information is shared between Trackara and the integrated system. The specific data shared depends on the capabilities and requirements of each integration. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these systems to understand how they handle your information.

10.2 Analytics Providers

We use analytics providers such as Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics to help us understand how users interact with our Service. These providers may collect information about your use of our Service and other websites through cookies and similar technologies.

10.3 Payment Processors

For our commission-based pricing model, we use third-party payment processors to handle payments. These processors collect payment information directly from you and process it according to their own privacy policies.
